WELCOME TO THE LABORATORY OF CELL SIGNALING IN ENGINEERED
TISSUES (CSET) AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA-IRVINE!
Under the direction of Associate Professor Andy Putnam, the CSET Lab conducts
research in the broad area of cell and tissue engineering. Our research program is
centered around the global hypothesis that a better fundamental understanding of the
interactions between cells and the extracellular matrix in both 2-D and 3-D is essential to
inspire the design of "instructive materials" that direct cell function.
Addressing this hypothesis will facilitate our efforts to rationally develop
novel polymeric biomaterials for regenerative medicine.
Please feel free to browse our pages to learn more about the research projects underway
in the laboratory and the various members in the laboratory. Thank you for visiting!
